First Edition Memoirs

A lovely legacy, remembered…

I’m in tears at my keyboard, and not for the first time. Today it’s because I’m transcribing a personal history client’s reminiscences about the death of her sister.

The client shared, “My sister had a hard life, with a lot of challenges, but instead of sinking into sadness, she worked hard to make a positive difference in so many lives. Even though she lived in so many places, with only a few years in each place, people from decades back remembered her, came to her funeral, wrote letters to tell the family how much she had meant to them.”

What a lovely legacy, and a reminder about what’s important in this life. This is why I do what I do.
